Refund Policy
At African Ink Publishers Ltd, we are committed to delivering the highest quality publishing services to every author and client we work with. We understand that there may be circumstances where you need to request a refund, and we want to ensure that the process is as clear and straightforward as possible. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions and procedures for obtaining a refund for services purchased through our platform or directly with our team.
1. General Refund Policy
Our general refund policy applies to all publishing services offered by African Ink Publishers Ltd. Refunds will be considered under the following conditions:
- Service Not Yet Commenced: If you have made a payment for a publishing service and work has not yet begun on your project, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the payment date. Once work has commenced, a full refund will no longer be available.
- Partial Refunds: If work on your project has already begun but has not been completed, you may be eligible for a partial refund based on the proportion of work that has not yet been carried out. The amount refunded will be determined at the sole discretion of African Ink Publishers Ltd, taking into account the resources and time already invested in your project.
- Service Failure: If African Ink Publishers Ltd is unable to deliver the agreed publishing services due to reasons within our control, and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe, you may request a full refund regardless of the stage of the project.
- Technical or Quality Issues: If the final delivered product does not meet the quality standards agreed upon at the time of engagement, and we are unable to rectify the issue after being given a reasonable opportunity to do so, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund depending on the nature and extent of the issue.
2. Non-Refundable Items and Services
Certain services and deliverables provided by African Ink Publishers Ltd are non-refundable. These include:
- Completed and Delivered Work: Any publishing service that has been fully completed and delivered to the client is not eligible for a refund. This includes manuscripts that have been fully edited, designed, and handed back to the author.
- Printed and Distributed Books: Once books have been printed and dispatched for distribution, they are non-refundable due to the nature of the production process.
- Rush or Priority Services: Any fees paid for expedited or priority publishing services are non-refundable once the service has been initiated.
- Third-Party Costs: Any costs incurred on your behalf through third-party service providers, such as ISBN registration, distribution fees, or external printing costs, are non-refundable once those services have been engaged.
